Please join the Wetlands Initiative, Lake County Parks & Recreation, The Nature Conservancy, and Audubon Great Lakes in the planting of several thousand native sedges and wildflowers at MLK South Wetland! This parcel is part of broader habitat restoration efforts we are carrying out along the West Branch of the Little Calumet River corridor in Northwest Indiana.

Parking is available along the levee – enter off MLK Drive at this address: 2930 Martin Luther King Drive, Gary, IN.

Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring a reusable water bottle. Tools, water, and snacks will be provided.
